Family owned farms

Most of “Our Farmers” are family farms. Momma and Papa Gustafson started with just a few cows that they cared for themselves. Today the farmers producing the milk that will carry the Gustafson label follow their lead. On many of the farms the entire family works together caring for the animals and the land. Because they work with the animals themselves, the cows are treated well; in fact many of the farms raise their calves from birth until they are productive adults in the herd.

We care about our land and the environment

The farms comply with regulations for the production process and for taking care of their land and the environment. These are set by state and federal governments and are monitored by inspectors who visit the farms regularly. This provides one more assurance to you, the customer, that this is the freshest, safest milk for you and your family.
